A wedding cake is an integral part of any wedding ceremony especially in North America and European countries. The wedding cakes are usually elegantly decorated with icing and a layer of cream. The cakes are generally multilayered and bear a small statue representing the husband and wife on the topmost layer. Apart from this, there are other decorative items such as golden rings, heart, dove and horseshoe. As per the tradition, the bride and groom will together make the first cut on the wedding cake with a ceremonial knife. It is indeed a challenging job for the baker to design such a huge cake without compromising with its taste and palatability.
